A shared mission with two areas of expertise: BearingPoint and Rockfeather collaborate on data & AI

Organizations are investing heavily in data, analytics, and AI. However, turning these ambitions into tangible results remains a challenge. Choosing a technology or launching pilot projects is relatively straightforward, but lasting value is only created when strategy, governance, data solutions, and adoption are aligned. That is why BearingPoint and Rockfeather have been working increasingly closely together. In this article, we explain what each organization brings to the table, why their partnership is a natural fit, and how they help organizations embed data-driven decision-making and AI in a sustainable way.

BearingPoint & Rockfeather

Strategy and Coherence as a Foundation
Within the Data, Analytics & AI domain, BearingPoint Netherlands helps organizations align data and AI with strategic objectives and decision-making. The focus is on creating coherence: from vision and governance to architecture and implementation in processes.
Within the Data, Analytics, and AI domain, this includes, among other things:
  • Data & Analytics Strategy: Providing direction for data initiatives, maturity assessments, use-case definitions, and CDO advisory.
  • Data Governance: Establishing governance frameworks and operating models, data ethics, and enabling data culture and literacy.
  • Advanced Analytics/Data Science & Machine Learning: From pattern discovery to predictive models, with an emphasis on end-to-end value creation.
  • Data Engineering & Architecture: Advising on and implementing data platforms and pipelines, including security and privacy requirements.
  • Data Visualization & Data Storytelling: Translating insights into understandable, actionable interactions for the organization.
  • Intelligent Agents & Automation: Exploring the opportunities and impact of AI-powered technologies and translating them into process improvements.
In summary, BearingPoint provides the overview, design choices, and change perspective needed to position data and AI not as “tools,” but as organizational capabilities.

From Design to Daily Practice
Rockfeather shares this mission and helps organizations make their data and AI ambitions practically achievable. This begins with a pragmatic data strategy that not only provides direction but is also immediately applicable. That direction is translated into concrete data products, automation, dashboards, and adoption within organizations. The guiding principle is clear: automate where it makes sense, provide insights where needed, and empower teams to continue developing independently.

Rockfeather’s strengths lie in the following areas:

  • Establishing or further developing the data foundation

  • Delivering actionable insights through dashboards and reporting

  • Implementing automation

  • Accelerating adoption through coaching and training

One value chain. One shared responsibility.
In organization-wide data transformations, we consistently see the same pattern. On the one hand, organizations seek direction and frameworks—such as business value, use cases, and governance. At the same time, there is a need for support in realizing solutions that truly take root within the organization.

The partnership between BearingPoint and Rockfeather brings these worlds together. It’s not a handoff between strategy and execution, but rather shared responsibility across the entire chain—from the initial design choices to solutions that are used every day.

We see this reflected in joint projects, such as:

  • A high-speed rail infrastructure operator where BearingPoint developed a proof of concept and business case for an AI agent, while Rockfeather handled the platform design

  • A healthcare knowledge institute where BearingPoint designed data governance and data management, and Rockfeather handled data engineering

  • An online travel provider where data management and data engineering were tackled jointly

Meet us at Data Expo 2026
Another factor that helps us share knowledge and practical experience is that we also seek each other out in the event landscape. On September 9 and 10, 2026, the Dutch data community will come together at Data Expo at Jaarbeurs Utrecht. Data Expo positions itself as an event where data, AI, tech, and business converge—a two-day event featuring sessions and case studies on data-driven work, AI, compliance/ethics, and BI. Both Rockfeather and BearingPoint will be there.

Would you like to meet us, brainstorm about your data or AI roadmap, or simply reflect on where you stand? Schedule an introductory meeting or visit us at Data Expo to discuss your data or AI ambitions.
