September 9 & 10, 2026
This was Data Expo 2026
Data and AI are no longer a distant prospect, reserved for a handful of pioneers. They are now woven into the daily operations of an increasing number of Dutch organizations. And we’re seeing it! Because this year, too, interest in Data Expo skyrocketed.
On September 9 and 10, no fewer than 6,321 professionals gathered at Jaarbeurs Utrecht, looking for ways and products to unlock genuine value from data. That represented a slight increase compared to last year.
Connection with the community
The atmosphere on the exhibition floor was all about knowledge-sharing: meeting people, running into old acquaintances, making new connections, and hearing how others are tackling the same data and AI challenges.
The exhibitors had really gone all out again this year, with attractive booths, knowledgeable advisors, and fun activities that either got visitors thinking or simply allowed them to relax for a moment amid all the content.

An exhibition floor full of surprises
There was certainly plenty to see and do. For example, you could play a game of XL Jenga at Nippur, there was a ping-pong table set up at Xebia, and Soverin’s pigeon mascot was walking around the exhibition floor. Need a new profile picture? At Circle One, you could upgrade your LinkedIn profile on the spot with a professional portrait.
At Conscia, the scent of fresh stroopwafels greeted you as you approached, and at SUSE, visitors walked away a little later with a green chameleon plush toy tucked under their arm. Data boring? Anyone who walked through the Jaarbeurs over these two days knows better.
“By participating in the exhibition, you automatically start thinking much more carefully about how to market your business, how to position yourself, and what the market is focused on at that moment. That’s something we’ve really learned over the past four years at Data Expo.”

Exhibitors take the stage
We’ve come to realize that the Data Expo audience is eager to learn. This year, too, the rooms were packed, with an average of 89 seats filled per presentation. Exhibitors eagerly took advantage of the opportunity to take the stage themselves and share their knowledge, solutions, and real-world case studies with the audience.
For example, Oracle spoke about its role in Formula 1 and its partnership with Red Bull Racing; CBEE and Gen25 discussed the onboarding of an AI colleague; and Digital Power, together with Vodafone, took the stage to explain how they ensure that the right customer context is available in real time.

Coming Soon
The best results come when data and business come together.
At Data Expo, we want to bring those worlds closer together. That’s exactly the idea behind this series. Not a story about the user or the producer, but a conversation between the two.

Avoid using the word “ethics,” but foster ethical awareness among all employees
Innovation and ethics are often seen as being at odds with each other. The idea is that asking critical questions slows progress. Not so, says Roos Brekelmans, Digital Innovation Accelerator at Vattenfall and lecturer in Digital Innovation at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, during a session at Data Expo 2026.
