Women's Coding Club
Standnumber #5
Womens Coding Club
Do you identify as a woman and are you learning to code? Then come join us for Women's Coding Club!
We get together once a month to practice coding and work on projects together. Everyone from all levels is welcome! We'd especially like to encourage you to join if you're just starting out and are insecure about your skills. Our aim is to make you more confident in your coding skills through lots of practice, pep talks, and snacks.
Are you interested in coding but haven't started yet? Feel free to join us to find out if it's for you!
There is no set programme for the sessions. You can work on any project or course you're currently following, or use the time to meet other women interested in coding and expand your network—or both! If you're looking for a project or course, we have plenty of suggestions for you, as well as the opportunity to sign up for the occasional volunteer project we organize. We have projects suited for all skill levels and work together to build real applications that you can add to your portfolio when applying for jobs—or simply show off to friends and family.
We have three session locations: Rotterdam, Tilburg, and Amsterdam.
The Rotterdam group is run by Maaike Wachters, who works as a Software Engineer and has a passion for getting more women into programming.
The Tilburg group is run by Lotte Govers, who works as a Data Platform Engineer and is excited to meet more women with an interest in coding.
The Amsterdam group is run by Sofia Enriquez, who works as a DevOps Engineer and loves encouraging other women to get into coding.
