Future-Proof Compliance: From data jungle to data asset in the Circular & Digital Economy with the ReSOLVE framework
Michelle Fisser
Voorzitter
The EU regulatory landscape is a jungle with a strong impact on organisations. ESG rules for example CSRD, CSDDD, RED III and EU Taxonomy now overlap with digital economy acts such as the AI Act, Data Act, NIS2 and EIDAS2. This results in a fast changing data jungle where organisations risk gathering duplicate, inconsistent or “trash” data that fails both audits and business needs. And are very costly to transpose and implement.
This roundtable will show how the McKinsey ReSOLVE Framework can help turn that data jungle into a structured, reusable asset — meeting multiple compliance requirements at once, avoiding duplication, and preparing for constant regulatory change.
Please note that an interactive approach is guaranteed. Together we see how compliance and tech/data teams as well as the business can align on the same information backbone to save time, reduce risk, costs and unlock sustainable value.
Key Takeaways
(During the roundtable together we will select three focus topics)
- One rulebook, many impacts – How ESG and digital economy regulations overlap and why compliance and Tech teams must work from the same trusted datasets
- Collect Once, Use Often – Reusing compliance and ESG data across reporting and audits to break down silos and cut duplication
- Data that’s audit-ready and business-useful – Structuring and labelling ESG and digital compliance data so it’s verifiable for regulators and valuable for analytics, dashboards and (internal) AI tools
- Closing the loop together – Feeding audit findings and supplier updates back into systems automatically to keep data clean and high quality
- Making systems talk to each other – Achieving interoperability for compliance and ESG data — from Digital Product Passports to cross-border renewable energy certificates — while safeguarding data security, privacy and governance
- Building for Sustainable Motion: Designing data and compliance processes that adapt quickly as regulations, metrics and ESG priorities evolve.
Target Audience
Anyone working at the intersection of regulatory change, sustainability and enterprise data management such as:
- IT & tech architects, data governance specialists
- Industry Leadership supporting the change
- Compliance, Risk and Audit professionals
- ESG /sustainability managers / officers
