Cultural nuance increases efficiency and credibility of consumer-centric global strategies: the global core message resonates more with local audiences, and the competence to refine strategy to local variations builds trust. When cultural values are identified by local teams looking within, even with plenty of data, relevant nuances often go unnoticed. A structured framework is proposed by the research shared in this talk, identifying and addressing cultural nuance to fine tune strategic audience targeting. The research develops guidelines for different industries based on the cultural framework of Hofstede, which measures cultural values in six dimensions, like indulgence and power distance.
