So, What About the AI Act?
Wednesday 11:45 - 12:15
Lezingenzaal 7
Bram Hoovers
Director Legal
The AI Act is often presented as complex legal regulation, but for organisations working with data and AI it comes down to a number of very practical questions: what type of AI system are we using, what risks does it create, who is responsible, and what should we document or organise before going live? In this session, we cut through the legal jargon and explain the AI Act in plain language. Participants will leave with concrete handholds to decide where to start: how to recognise whether an AI system may fall under the AI Act, how to ask the right questions in a project team, how to distinguish low-risk use cases from more sensitive ones, and how to turn legal requirements into practical steps.
