Junior Consultant Industry X
Hi! I am Aleksandra and I have just completed my MSc in Business IT Management at the University of Amsterdam, and previously a BA in Creative Business. Through my thesis, "When AI Meets the ERP: Governance Gaps, Data Readiness, and the Preconditions for Effective AI Integration in Knowledge-Intensive Business Processes", I investigate how organisations can safely and responsibly integrate GenAI into ERP-embedded, knowledge-intensive processes, using a Dutch multinational trading and distribution firm as the case study, complemented by a survey among a diverse group of knowledge workers. During my research and literature background review, I reframe "shadow AI" as a governance signal and propose a tiered framework for responsible GenAI adoption. I am excited to continue this work as a technology implementation consultant in the Accenture Industry X division.

Shadow AI is not the Problem, It's a Governance Signal
Nowadays, enterprise AI adoption rarely fails for lack of ambition, instead it fails for lack of governance and necessary preconditions for a sustainable, phased integration. Based on a mixed-methods thesis at a Dutch FMCG trading & distribution firm (7 expert interviews + a 90-person survey), this talk reframes "shadow AI" as a governance signal, not employee misconduct, and shares a tiered framework, checked against 2026 research on agentic AI, for turning ad hoc GenAI use into a safer and auditable ERP process support mechanism.
