Gianfranco is the Chief Solutions Officer at the International Data Spaces Association (IDSA, https://internationaldataspaces.org): the non-profit industry initiative for the development of practices and technology specifications for data sharing and data pooling in data spaces. It is in IDSA's working groups that its members created the Dataspace Protocol, currently in the process of standardization with ISO. In Europe, IDSA is also one of the partners that operate the Data Spaces Support Centre for the European Commission (DSSC, https://dssc.eu): the initiative aimed at the coordination and guidance of the EC effort for the development of data spaces in the Union. Gianfranco serves as the project's executive director.
