Founder
Vuyo Gwayi is an experienced risk advisor whose career has spanned consulting, financial services and technology across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Her work explores how organisations govern decision-making, manage risk and maintain accountability as artificial intelligence becomes embedded in business operations.
She holds professional certifications in the Governance of AI Systems, Commercial Forensic Information Technology, Practice Fraud Risk Management, Data Privacy and Protection Auditing and Public Sector Risk Management. This multidisciplinary foundation informs her work at the intersection of governance, law, risk, and technology with a particular interest in the questions that sit beyond the technology itself.
In 2026, Vuyo was recognised in the W.O.W. Africa 50 Women Honour Circle for Ethical Governance and Innovation, acknowledging her contribution to governance, risk management, and the responsible governance of artificial intelligence.
Based in the Netherlands, she works across European and African environments, helping organisations align regulatory obligations with practical, accountable, and responsible AI governance.
Vuyo is the author of a forthcoming book on AI governance, written for boards, executives, regulators, and policymakers navigating the transition from voluntary governance to emerging regulation. With a strong South African perspective and global outlook, the book explores how entities can integrate AI governance into existing governance, risk, and assurance frameworks, particularly across emerging economies that are helping shape the future of AI governance rather than simply adopting models developed elsewhere.
Beyond her professional work, Vuyo is a mother, a marathon runner, and an avid tennis player.

So your system passed the audit, why is it still a fraud risk ?
Your AI System Passed the Audit, So Why Is It Still a Fraud Risk? Your systems can pass every audit and still expose you to fraud. The risk sits in how AI-assisted decisions get made, trusted, and acted on. Drawing on real cases, from a $25M deepfake to failures closer to home, this session shows where AI risk hides and gives you practical questions to catch it early, before the loss rather than after.
