Building with AI Agents: Lessons from Agentic Product Development and Engineering Transformation
Snehit Cherian
CTO
AI agents are reshaping enterprise technology in two important ways: they are changing the products organizations build and the way those products are developed. In this session, Snehit Cherian, CTO of Global Nexis Solutions at LexisNexis, shares practical lessons from both sides of this transformation.
The first part of the session explores how organizations design and deploy AI agent architectures to support complex enterprise use cases. Snehit introduces the key concepts behind agentic systems and examines the architectural patterns, framework choices, design tradeoffs, and operational considerations involved in building secure, scalable AI-powered applications. Drawing on Nexis+ AI as a working example, he also discusses the evolving AI ecosystem and the role of large language models and AI labs in enterprise environments.
The second part focuses on agentic development and how AI-assisted workflows are reshaping the software engineering lifecycle. Drawing on firsthand experience with tools such as Claude Code, Snehit examines how development teams are using AI to accelerate design, coding, testing, and delivery. He also shares lessons from the broader organizational and technology changes required to successfully adopt agentic ways of working, and closes with the principles that hold true across both contexts.
Gain practical insights into:
-
What AI agents are and why they matter for enterprise software
-
Framework selection and implementation lessons from building Nexis+ AI
-
Using AI-powered development tools and workflows in practice
-
Transforming software engineering practices through agentic development
-
Organizational challenges and opportunities when adopting AI-driven approaches
The session offers a practical, real-world perspective on how AI agents are changing both enterprise applications and modern software engineering.
