Switching strategies: the rise of the multi branded data platform for the Wehkamp Retail Group

In 2018, Wehkamp transitioned from a centralized to a decentralized data strategy. With the acquisition of Kleertjes.com in 2021, we adopted a multi-brand strategy, which challenged our data environments significantly. This initiated a complete rethink of our strategy, leading us to adopt a hybrid data approach, rebuilding from the ground up using development best practices. In our talk, we will explain the reasons and methods behind our transformation, showcasing our technical solutions. We will demonstrate how our unified multi-brand data model and platform empower the entire group, making operations efficient and timely across all brands.
