What tasks should you divide?
Experience shows that a clear division of labor increases the effect of your exhibition participation. Consider the following distribution:
- Persons who make initial contact with people from the aisle
- Persons who then take over to have a more extensive conversation
- A person who maintains contact with OGZ and Jaarbeurs if there are (technical) questions
- Persons who ensure that everyone at the booth is provided with drinks (and if applicable) and food.
- A person responsible for visibility and content (photo/video material) during and after the fair on social media, for example.
How do you best prepare the team?
It is important to be clear even before the fair starts what is expected of everyone. So plan a briefing in advance in which you discuss things like:
- what the objectives are that you all want to achieve
- What is everyone's role in achieving it
- what your mission, values, products and USPs are
- Who the ideal customer is
- what you want to know about visitors in order to find out if they belong to you
- how to process this data in the lead scan app
- What conversation techniques are used to correctly bind good leads to your organization?
- How to recognize bad leads and 'brush them off' in an orderly manner.
- A detailed script or schedule
- further house rules (about attitude, clothing, breaks etc. etc.)
